Salesforce like all technology changes. Salesforce as a company does an excellent job enabling its customers, partners, and employees. Tech moves so quickly and Salesforce falls into that same bucket with quarterly releases. With all the new features, tech governance changes, and best practices changes how is one can keep up with it all? Below are my top 3 ways to learn Salesforce and keep up with its landscape.
- Trailhead
- Salesforce Trailhead is a free-to-use platform designed to teach all things Salesforce. This is a great place to start if you are interested in learning about what Salesforce is and does. The trails, trail mixes, and super badges give a fun way to learn the platform or keep your knowledge.
- Salesforce Documentation
- I find myself reading release notes and salesforce configuration documentation on a regular basis to double check my understand or to learn new features. Salesforce does a wonderful job of providing technical how to documentation on all of their applications.
- Salesforce Community
- If there is a problem that you are trying to solve with Salesforce and you can’t figure it out with the first two points, then using your Google search power is recommended. Luckily, there is a vast Salesforce community of like-minded users with idea posts, comments on forums, and also blogs like this to support you in your journey. This community is one of the reasons that I have learned so much and have been able to stick with consulting for the last 7 years. If you are looking for a community to learn about tech, this is a great one to join.
